It tasked leaders to invest in the agricultural potential of the state through youth empowerment. The Chairman of the group, Ahmed Ghani Hassan made this known in Bauchi while speaking to a group of youths on Tuesday said that “We all know that Bauchi is a salary dependent state, with our economic potential in agriculture, we can boost our internally generated revenue if our leaders can invest in the youth.

“We call on the governor, National Assembly and the state lawmakers and wealthy individuals to look into how we can venture into agriculture, particularly dry season farming. We have sources of water and enormous land to do that.”

The leader of the group, Hassan said that the Association has been assisting in promoting unity of the State by removing sectionalism owing to religious affiliation, political party and tribal discrimination.

Also, providing opportunities and platforms where orientation campaigns and sensitisation to change the people's mindset from pursuing salary oriented jobs to engage in productivity and small scale businesses in order to boost the IGR of the State.
