HMS School buzzed with excitement today as students participated in a dynamic Career Day event, showcasing a variety of professions and providing invaluable career insights.
The event, aimed at guiding students in making informed decisions about their future careers, featured guest speakers from diverse fields who left a lasting impression on the eager audience.
The event featured an impressive lineup of guest speakers who shared their experiences and career journeys.
Dr Bilkisu Sani Labaran, a medical doctor, and Mrs Blessing Francis, a nurse, offered a detailed glimpse into careers in the healthcare sector.
They discussed the challenges and rewards of working in medicine and nursing, emphasising the impact healthcare professionals have on society.
"Healthcare is about compassion and commitment and it is a calling that requires dedication.", Bilkisu said
Also speaking, Esther Nnabuihe, a renowned event planner, spoke about the intricacies of the event planning industry, inspiring students interested in creative and organizational roles.
She highlighted the growing demand for well-executed events in both corporate and social settings.
While Architect Emmanuel Biyock captivated students with his talk on the world of architecture, showcasing how design and creativity can shape the environment.
Barrister Ojuguo C. Anoruo, a respected legal practitioner, shared her journey in law, motivating students interested in justice and advocacy. She encouraged them to pursue their passion for making a difference in society.
The highlight of the day was the session led by Squadron Leader Williams Rupert, an officer in the Nigerian Air Force. His stories of discipline, leadership, and service to the nation fascinated students.
