A non-governmental organisation, Child is Gold Foundation (CIGF), has bagged the prestigious Zamar Award, for exceptional humanitarian service’ over the weekend.
The Foundation which has been at the forefront of social inclusion, welfare and the rights of children was recognised as being a strong voice for community development.
The recognition was a result of the organization's commitment towards community development and fighting for the rights of the underserved in the society.
Receiving the award on behalf of the Foundation on Sunday, the Executive Director of CIGF, Barrister Elizabeth George described the award as a motivation for the organisation to do more.
She said: “We are deeply humbled and grateful to receive this prestigious award. It validates our unwavering dedication to creating a brighter future for disadvantaged women, youth, children and people living with special needs.
“We thank Zamar Award for this recognition and our supporters for their continued trust and partnership,” she said.
