Adamawa defeats Yobe with penalty at N’East school football tournament

Adamawa State football team has defeated counterpart Yobe State in the first match played through a penalty kick off 5 - 4 after the full time of 1-1 draw during the ongoing secondary school sports competition at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi.

The match which started at about 2:00pm marked the commencement of the official opening ceremony of North East Secondary Schools Sport Tournament in Bauchi.

Both states' performance were excellent despite the whether. Supporters were seen cheering the players with passion and enthusiasm. 

All the two goals were scored during the first half and the match ended 1-1 draw after the full time where both teams went straight to the penalty elimination stage and Adamawa state scores 5 and Yobe scores 4 goals respectively. 

According to the organisation rules, Adamawa state has qualified to the next stage and Yobe was eliminated in the game.
