War Against Insecurity: Army Commander, Egbe Advocates Unity Among Security Agencies

By Ajiya Ayuba

The Commander of the 33 Artillery Brigade Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Emmanuel Egbe on Friday calls for unity among all the security agencies in order to continue fighting criminals in Bauchi State.

Brigadier General Egbe said this during the combined road work of the Army, Air Force, Police, DSS, Federal Road Safety Corps, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, Nigerian Immigration Services, Correctional Service, Fire Service, National Youth Service Corps and other security agencies in the state.

He said that the main reason for the road work is to bring unity among all the security agencies in the state.
According to the commander “it is only by our unity that we'll keep on defeating criminals but without unity most of us will be their informant which is very bad.”

He said that joining hands together with each other would make things easier for the job and the state and to live peacefully.

"As you know the country is going through a lot of security challenges from terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, and other criminals. It's only by understanding and regarding each other that we'll achieve our goal.”

He said that no service would fight that alone unless with the collaboration of each other but collectively, synergy and good collaboration, everything will come to an end.

Egbe called on all the security agencies in the state to avoid clashes with each other for the betterment of the service.

The Commandant of the Nigeria and Security Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Oloyede Nelson Oyerinde expressed his appreciation to the security agencies in the state for coming out massively to attain the combined road work.

"We'll give massive support to the Nigerian Army to ensure that criminals don't have a place to stay in Bauchi state,” he pledged.

Oyerinde promised on behalf of other security agencies to join hands with the Nigerian army in order to work collectively and to collaborate with each other for the peace of the state and Nigeria.
