Governor Mohammed, Speaker, Abdul Ningi, ten others get traditional titles



The Village Head of Nasaru Community in Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State, Alhaji Mas’ud Attahiru has conferred the title of Dallatun Nasaru on the Governor, Bala Mohammed.

Also, the Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Abubakar Suleiman was given the Jagaban Nasaru while the Senator representing the Bauchi Central, Abdul Ningi was conferred with the Wazirin Ningi. 

Ten other prominent individuals who got traditional titles include; Hon. Salisu Zakari, Executive Chairman of Ningi LGA, as Dan Adalan Nasaru, Alhaji Muazu Aliyu Iliyasu, Registrar at the Federal Polytechnic, Damaturu, Yobe State as the Dan Amar of Nasaru.

Others are; Alhaji Idris Said Muhammad; Manager at the Headquarters of Federal Mortgage Bank as Dan Maliki of Nasaru, Mal. Nura Musa Kuni as Tafida of Nasaru and Alh. Kabir Gidan Baki as Kachalla of Nasaru both are prominent businessmen from the district and Alh. Baba Dan Komi as Sarkin Fulani of Nasaru.

The event gathered dignitaries, families, and well-wishers to honor their exemplary contributions to the community's development.

The Chairman of Ningi Local Government Area, Hon. Nasiru Zakari Ningi lauded the Village Head for his foresight and commitment to recognizing community excellence.

“This initiative strengthens our collective bond and promotes development. I urge the newly turbaned individuals to lead by example and contribute positively to the progress of Nasaru and the entire local government,” Hon. Zakari stated.

He further highlighted the late Emir of Ningi’s legacy of prioritizing security and welfare, urging the honorees to emulate such selfless dedication.

The Village Head of Nasaru, Alhaji Mas’ud Attahiru emphasized the importance of unity, service, and the role of individuals in driving community progress.

“This ceremony is a testament to our collective strength and our belief in the value of service and dedication. We recognize these individuals for their commitment to Nasaru’s development. I encourage them to continue to be role models, fostering unity and inspiring the next generation,” he stated.

The Village Head also announced that 35 individuals were selected for recognition, with 13 turbaned at the ceremony and the remaining to be celebrated at a later date.

Speaking on behalf of the honorees, Alhaji Muazu Aliyu Iliyasu, Registrar Federal Polytechnic Damaturu, Yobe State, the Dan Amar of Nasaru, expressed deep gratitude to the Village Head and the community for the recognition.

“We are humbled by this honor and pledge our continued support for the growth and development of Nasaru and the entire local government. Together, we will strive to bring positive change and ensure the prosperity of our people,” he said.
