Guru United FC has defeated the Green Beret FC and Young Talented FC to lift the Brigade Commander's Football Cup Tournament in Bauchi.
The Green Beret FC emerged in second position while Young Talented FC came in 3rd position with other teams following closely, and individual players and officials received awards and cash tokens in various categories.
Brigadier General E. Egbe has urged the winning team of the Brigade Commander's Football Cup Tournament to celebrate their victory with dignity and respect for the losers.
Speaking after the final match between Guru United and Green Beret FC football clubs at the Shadawanka Barracks football field yesterday evening in Bauchi, the general emphasized the importance of sportsmanship among players.
The tournament which commenced on 1st of December and ended December 19, 2024 was aimed to bring together young soldiers, youths, and civilian friends to promote sportsmanship, physical fitness, and civil-military cooperation.
Brigadier General Egbe praised the participating teams for their thrilling matches and for making memories that will last a lifetime.

The occasion was graced by several notable personalities within and outside the Army. Bauchi Commissioner of Police, representatives of various security agencies, and other security agencies were also represented, showcasing a united front.
Respected traditional leaders from the community were present, adding a touch of cultural significance to the occasion.
