"We also need to establish schools that will teach both Islamic and Western education," he said.

The event also highlighted the importance of education, with Prof Shehu announcing plans to establish an Islamiyya School that would also teach Western education for orphans to benefit from free education at the school.

"We believe that education is key to promoting peace and stability in our society,

"That's why we're establishing this school. We want to provide opportunities for orphans and other vulnerable children to access quality education," Prof Shehu said.

Sen. Abdulrahman Kawu Sumaila, representing Kano South Senatorial District, also spoke at the event, calling on clerics to verify facts and conduct research before commenting on leaders and politicians.

Sumaila emphasized the importance of clerics sticking to the teachings and doctrine of Prophet Muhammad, which would strengthen the faith of the people and the leaders.

"I urge our clerics to be cautious when commenting on leaders and politicians.

"They should verify the facts and conduct research before making any statements. This will help to promote peace and stability in our society," Senator Sumaila said.
