The Bauchi State Government through its Ministry of Agriculture has budgeted to spend a whopping N39.6million to purchase two motorcycles while voting N4.2million for the purchase of two desktop computers in the 2025 budget.
The State Governor, Bala Mohammed had presented the sum of N465,085, 248, 317.12 while the House of Assembly increased the amount by N2billion in the 2025 budget.
Under the capital expenditure of the Agriculture Ministry, it was observed that the government planned to buy two motorcycles at the cost of N39.6million for agricultural sensitisation and surveillance. It also budgeted N2,450,000 for two computer printers. In addition, the Ministry planned to spend N7million to purchase three photocopiers.
While presenting the budget to the Assembly on November 21, 2024, Governor Mohammed urged the lawmakers not to waste time in passing the document to allow the government commence the implementation of its projects and programmes.
