The Zaar Clerics Consultative Forum, Bauchi Branch has applauded the Governor, Bala Mohammed for being resolute in the actualisation of the much anticipated Sayawa Chiefdom.
The Forum said it is not unaware of the objections, oppositions and threats already staged against Mohammed over the Sayawa Chiefdom.
Leader of the Forum, Rev Haruna Mbidur, Chairman, Rev Sabo D. Muwari, Coordinator and Rev Masoyi Jibilla Dadi, Secretary, in a statement on Sunday, urged the Governor to disregard the voices of individuals and groups who have positioned themselves as meddlesome interlopers, seeking to frustrate and disrupt the establishment of the Zaar Chiefdom using all manner of manipulative emotional blackmail, religious propaganda, deadly lies and grand deceptions.
“They do not act in the interest of lasting peace, tranquility, inclusivity or the progress of our dear State.
"As a matter of fact, most of them are neither indigenes of Bauchi State nor residents of Tafawa Balewa and Bogoro LGAs, but completely strangers to the cause of the people of our dear State and areas and they care less about peace and harmony in Bauchi State,” the statement reads.
It said further that the Chiefdom is well-deserved and has come at the right time. “Your name shall be written in gold in the annals of the history of our people more than any Governor of Bauchi State since its creation, by this singular action.
It added,"Once again, we express our profound gratitude and assure you of our dedicated support and prayers as you continue the noble task of advancing and modernizing Bauchi State. May God continue to bless you with wisdom, strength, and success in all your endeavors now and forever."
It assured Mohammed that efforts regarding the establishment of the Sayawa Chiefdom has brought immense joy and happiness to the lives of all Zaar people, both Christians and Muslims. “When the righteous rule, the people rejoice Proverbs 29:2 as it is the case in our State today."
According to the Forum, the support from all corners of the Community is overwhelming. “This achievement is not only a triumph for the Zaar people but also for Bauchi State and Nigeria at large. It will undoubtedly serve as a catalyst for progress, unity, the preservation of the rich cultural heritage of our people and ensure rapid economic development within the entire zone.”
The clerics appreciated the Emir of Bauchi, Alh Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu, saying that his open door and inclusive policy have given them hope and peace they have been yearning for.
