Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has inaugurated a 2025 Ramadan Palliative Distribution Committee, headed by the Commissioner of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management.
Inaugurating the committee, Mohammed said that the Ramadan palliative distribution initiative in the State has become a moral obligation to support families and citizens during the holy month, especially at the current economic situation across the country.
He charged the Committee to be just, fair and have the fear of Allah in their hearts while discharging the trust given to them.
Responding on behalf of the members, the Chairperson of the committee, Commissioner Wanka expressed her gratitude to the Governor and assured him of fairness and equity in the distribution exercise.
"Your Excellency, we won't take this appointment for granted. By God's grace, we will justify the confidence reposed in us", she said.
Membership of the committee comprises some commissioners, heads of state agencies/departments, religious/community groups, security operatives and some other key stakeholders.
